Flying Disk photographed over Romanek home

4-24-08 (approx. 4:50 PM)

I received a call from Stan Romanek Thursday April 24, 2008 at 5:10 PM. He said he just witnessed (approx. 20 min. earlier) an object in the sky above his home located at XXXX XXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, CO. While he was in the front yard of his home he observed a blunt saucer shaped object drop from the clouds appearing to flip/ tumble end over end as if it were falling and would possibly crash into their home. As it dropped it then quickly slowed to a full stop about 800’- 1,000’ off the ground, hesitated for a moment, then flew in a North, North Westerly direction parallel to the ground. After it quit tumbling it remained in a vertical rather than horizontal position as it moved away.

Immediately after the object dropped and started moving in a N/N/W direction he ran into the house to find a camera and was able to get 5 photos of the object as it moved away from the home.

Stan was the only known eyewitness to the event (his wife and friend were in back yard but did not look up to view the incident) Length of entire event: approx. 1 min. 30 sec. Stan first observed object approximately 4:50 PM April 24, 2008 followed by” 30-40 sec. tumble 20 sec. into house to get camera 16-20 sec. as object moved in a N/N/W direction. Notes:

There was no apparent sound

The object was estimated to be slightly larger than a 747 aircraft

The object was a glowing red (slightly orange) color The object finish appeared to a bright plasma glow

The lower atmosphere was clear all the way up to the white clouds with clear visibility of the object shown in photos.

Report submitted by Stan Romanek to Rick Nelson by phone and documented approximately 20 min. after the event.

Book flying across room at Romanek home

4-23-08

Summary: While seated at his desk in his home office in his Colorado home at approximately 8:00 PM a book flew off the shelf of a bookcase directly behind Stan. It came from a shelf slightly above his head (in a seated position) and to his right. The book traveled across the length of the room (approx. 12’) and landed in the open doorway to the right of Stan on the opposite wall. It was a Harry Potter book. No others witnessed the event. Note: No sound or other perceptible activity was noted or associated with this incident. The only other party aware of the event was Stan's wife. She did not witness the book movement but heard it land on the floor from another room.

Note: No sound or other perceptible activity was noted or associated with this incident.

Phoned in for documentation within 30 minutes of the event.
