Join a group of fun minded people The Adventure Club, Paranormal Research Forum and other curious souls for their 20th annual trip to explore the possibilities in the universe. The first seven years traveling to a remote area of Utah were lots of fun, eye opening and memorable, meeting lots of fascinating people in the beautiful canyon country. Those that attended our 2006 trip experienced a couple of "out of this world" light shows. During Friday evening's campfire gathering we had several unexplainable flashes of light that were happening within 10 feet of a number of people followed by a an amazing light display in the night sky that was clearly not a satellite or explainable. One person was fortunate enough to view one of the cantaloupe size streaks of light directly. It was about 15 feet from her and traveled a distance of approximately 10 feet in a swirling path a few feet off the ground. Our 20th year will again be to the San Luis Valley in south central Colorado and is certain to prove interesting, beautiful, informative and enlightening as always. We usually have the opportunity to visit with people in the area that have had some very amazing experiences they've been willing to share. It's up to everyone to form their own opinions about what's going on here but I'm certain ALL would agree there are many unexplainable occurrences that continually take place in this unique valley. The San Luis Valley extends from just south of Salida, CO on the north end to Taos, NM at the south. For centuries the 13 Native American tribes known to have inhabited the valley all realized and held the valley (referred to as The Peaceful Valley" by Native Americans) as sacred and having magical or unworldly powers.
On Hwy 285 (very scenic) it takes about 3 1/2 hours from Denver off W-470 and slightly longer on I-25 depending on traffic conditions. Area Map.
Take Highway 17 south from Salida ... also known as "abduction alley"
Location We will again be visiting the Oasis Campground 719-378-2222 (see aerial photo below) immediately south of the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. Traveling along Hwy 17 (the main north/ south Highway through the San Luis Valley) take Road 6N, located immediately north of the town of Mosca, east about 15 miles. Turn left (north) at the "T" intersection about 2 miles north to the Oasis Campground on the east side of the road (can't miss it, it's the ONLY thing out there except for the unexplained). Area Map Area attractions Lots of things to see and do in this beautiful valley including the Sand Dunes, the UFO Watchtower, San Luis (Colorado's oldest town), Zapata Falls (one of the most dramatic in Colorado), the Alligator Farm, Wildlife Preserve and lots more. For a detailed list click here- Area Attractions. Area Paranormal Activity For many centuries the San Luis Valley has had a rich history of highly unusual activity reported by at least 13-Native American Indian Tribes, Conquistadors, Miners, Ranchers and other inhabitants of the Valley. Unusual occurrences such as hundreds of cattle mutilations, hundreds of documented reports of bizarre flying craft since the 1700's, mysterious flying orbs, apparitions, and even a horse dropped from the sky into the top of a large cottonwood tree in the area. For a little taste of the highly unusual activity in this area click here San Luis Valley Paranormal Activity and History or More Local Activity or UFO Watchtower
Author-Noted Speaker Christopher O'Brien is undoubtedly the foremost authority on current and historic paranormal activity in the area. To become more aware of the perpetual documented occurrences of unexplainable activity in the San Luis Valley the Books "The Mysterious Valley" and "Enter The Valley" are excellent reading. His new book "Secrets of the Valley" has just come out in May 2007. If you would like to order a signed copy directly from Christopher for $25 which includes postage contact me and I will give you his phone number to order.

Important UFO Trip Updates This laid back fun event continues to attract new friends. This year over 114 curious souls are planning on joining our little outing. Keep checking this portion of the website for any updates. * Saturday Romanek Presentation: Due to the unexpected number participants we can no longer have our Saturday lunch (Stan Romanek) presentation at the Oasis Restaurant that only seats 50-60. Instead Stan will be sharing with us at the campsite at 10:00 AM- 11:45? AM. Don't forget to bring your chairs, water and a hat. This will not be a slide or video presentation. Stan will cover some of the newest experiences and * Group Campsite location: Again, we have grown beyond fitting into our original Group Campsite and are being relocated within the massive campground. When our new site has been finalized it will be posted on this webpage. We will also have a map posted on the Campstore bullitenboard just outside the door. Make sure you check in at the Campstore and check the bullitenboard The tempuratures have been up in the low 80's with brief afternoon showers. We will be there during the full moon which should create a beautiful, if not surreal, setting over the Dunes. Equipment Suggestions include bottled water, camp chairs (extra if you have them), water shoes (for Zapata Falls), towels for the showers, rain gear, walkie-talkies (channel 7), binoculars, cameras, video cameras, jacket for Skywatch and anything else I think of to put on this list later : ) Keep checking!
